Today it’s Glow Ball’s farewell hash. The hares-Glow ball, Chic Sheik & Mona Lisa arranged a day trip with several “virgin” experiences for us: Virgin Territory, Virgin Mountain, and Virgin Restaurant & Virgin Hares. So today we went to Glow Ball’s working city – TaiShan, where is the hometown of most Overseas Chinese, to celebrate Glow Ball’s farewell hash. With the current CPI in china had been reached as high as 5%, the hash price is very reasonable and just costs our hashers 100RMB per person, which includes bus fare, drinks, hash run and dinner but excludes the lunch.

Before the trail:

Today our hares- Glow ball and Mona Lisa were jet lag again. They did not come to the meeting site on time and were late for around 15 minutes later.

On the trail:

Today the hash trail is not marking clearly. So we had some difficulties to get started. No one can find the flour until one of the hares -Lisa yield to go straight. So we go straight until we can find the flour later. Before the trail, Constipation told me the trail would be very long and it would take 3 hours. And it really nearly took me 3 hours to finish the whole trail. We started running at 10 past 2 and I was back to the bus at 5 past 5, which is nearly 10 past 5.

On the circle:

Before the circle, we got Jochem on ice for his naming and got Glow Ball on ice for his farewell. Then our GM OO-Dirk brought up Shoeless Ho to be our RA today. The accusations on the circle were the following, which was partly but not all:

 New Comers: roughly 5.

 Returnee: OO-Dirk, Who’s your daddy etc...

 Hunks Spunk accused Laziji & Constipation for his away to Holland for the last 2 weeks and left Laziji alone in his big apartment so Constipation took care of Laziji by asking her to join his family during Hunka being away.

 Hunka Spunk accused Floppy Disk & his girlfriend Shirley for Shirley telling him good news, and she told him she was wearing new shoes.

 Chic Sheik accused OO-Dirk for sending his wrong havetisement to the hashers for the reason of no one reading the hashvertisement.

 Sir Cum Navigator was giving a hash name to Jochem as “Home Cumming”

After the circle:

Our hare – Glow Ball took us to a local restaurant in Taishan and the restaurant is well-known by its good food in the Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau.

Hare：OO-Dirk & Christopher

Weather: Cloudy

Temperature: 12℃ ~16℃

Today OO-Dirk & Christopher is our hare and Christopher is the virgin hare.

Before the trail:

When our bus picked up the hares at the west gate of BaiYun Mountain, OO-Dirk was so surprised that there were only 13 hashers joining the hash today as he and Christopher had set a good trail for us.

On the trail:

Today’s hash trail was very nice and it is up mostly, which brought a good exercise for us. There is no short-cutter on the trail today, even Meatball-the short-cuter king also finished the whole trail. Today the front runner is Tumble Print, which is the first time for Tumble Print to be the front runner during her hashing history.

On the circle:

Our GM OO-Dirk brought up Meatball to be our RA today, the accusations on the circle was the following, which was partly but not all:

 New Comer: Unfortunately there was no new comer today.

 Returnee: Hello Sailor.

 OO-Dirk accused his Co-hare- Christopher for mixing the time to be the hare. Last week we were in CongHua but Christopher was in Mango and waited for OO-Dirk until 2 pm. So he called OO-Dirk then he found out he had mixed the time to be the hare.

 OO-Dirk accused PAPA San for the good design of Soggy Biscuit’s Fxxkoff T-shirt as there are only six T-shirts left, which is only the small size and is only fit for Little Turf but not Meatball.

 Meatball made an announcement for the next week hash as next week is the Chinese New Year Eve and there will be no bus, no hare etc. but there still has hash, which will be a Pub Cowl hash.

Today Diarrhea had prepared so much food for us to eat after the run but unfortunately we cannot eat them all as so little hashers coming so there was too much food left on hash and our GM OO-Dirk decided that we brought the rest food to Mango as our hash dinner and tried to eat them all in Mango.

Hare：Soggy Biscuit, Sir Cum Navigator & Globewatter, OO-Dirk.

Weather: Most Cold & Cloudy and Partly Sunshine.

Temperature:5℃ ~19℃

This week’s hash is the first hash in New Year 2012 and it is Soggy Biscuit’s Farewell Hash also. So we left Guangzhou and moved to Cong Hua to have our No 1138 hash so that we can give soggy Biscuit a warm celebrating farewell.

A Special Guest:

During this week’s hash, we had a very special guest to join us, who is a 2 year old little boy –Stephen. Stephen is a very clever boy and he can speak 2 languages already-Chinese & English.

When we ask him in English,

“How are you?”

He can answer you in English,

“I am fine, thank you.”

When he was drinking WangLaoJi (王老吉) on the bus，he can tell you in Chinese, “I always drink WangLaoJi (王老吉) after the meal,”

“What do you drink?”

“WangLaoJi (王老吉)！” He answered in Chinese.

Stephen is a civilize boy also. We saw him when he had any rubbish, he knew he should put them in the rubbish bin.

On Saturday’s Afternoon Hash:

We arrived in CongHua in Saturday’s morning at around 11:30am. After we made the check-in in the hotel and dropped our luggage in our room, we got back to the bus at around 12:30pm and then the bus took us to today’s hashing site. After the bus was driving on the way for several minutes later, OO-Dirk found out he had left Glow Ball and Lisa in the hotel but it is impossible for the bus to drive back and pick them up again so they had to come to the site on their own. In the afternoon the hash hare was Soggy Biscuit, Sir Cum Navigator & Globewatter. As one of the hare- Sir Cum Navigator told us before the trail if we follow the “False” trail, it would be the

shortest and easiest way to go back to the bus. So there were 13 hashers taking the short cut today. After we finished the whole trail, we took the bus back to the hotel and had the hash circle there as it was supper cold in today’s hashing site.

On the Circle:

As it was Soggy Biscuit’s Farewell Hash, so everybody was getting him drunk on the circle until late.

Meatball was today’s RA. And the following is the part of accusations:

 New Comers: there were 4 new comers today.

 Returnees: Shoeless, Glow Ball & Lisa, Rotten Rock, Pin Head etc.

 Meatball accused Soggy Biscuit to pick the coldest day during the year to have his farewell hash but not in the summer such as July or August.

 Mattress Pad accused Soggy Biscuit for his gentleman attitude as there was one night Mattress Pad getting drunk in Hill Bar and Soggy Biscuit took her to his apartment and took good care of her.

 OO-Dirk accused Glow ball & Lisa for missing the bus before the run as he had a jetlag today.

After the circle：

We had a BBQ hash dinner in the hotel.

On Sunday’s Morning Hash:

We had a 45 minutes hash in the hotel nearby in Sunday Morning. As it is A to A hash, we got back to the hotel after we finished the whole trail. After we had the lunch at nearby restaurant, we went back to Guangzhou in the Sunday afternoon.

Today Sir Cum Navigator & Globewatter is our hare.

Before the trail:

Sir Cum Navigator gave every one of us a briefing on today’s trail. He told us there would be one split on today’s trail and asked us that if we could not reach the split at quarter to 5, then follow the walker’s trail otherwise it would be dark when we were back.

On the trail:

Today’s hash trail was very nice and flat mostly. So it could be said an easy and short trail. But until quarter to 5, we did not see any split at all as Sir cum navigator told us before the trail till quarter past 5 we finished the whole trail. When I was back to the bus, I was surprised that I was not the last one as Hunka and Anna’s grandmother was still on the trail. We were all worried about them and did not know how to tell Constipation about this later until they were back to the circle safely at last. Today Chic Shield was the first one running back to the bus, which he told me on the bus later.

On the circle:

Our GM OO-Dirk accused today’s hare to bring a kiwi new comer to hash but after he paid the hash cash, he’d gone. Then OO-Dirk brought up Meatball to be our RA today, the accusations on the circle was the following, which was partly but not all:

 Meatball accused Floppy Disk for thanking him to offer his place for our Christmas party last week.

 Sir Cum Navigator accused himself & his co-hare Globewatter for not only organizing today’s hash but also the lighting on the circle.

 OO-Dirk accused French Tickler for recently his having a drink with OO-Dirk in Mango and told OO-Dirk that he did not know what his hash name’s meaning was until Soggy Biscuit showed his picture on the annual dinner and the picture told him what the meaning was.

 OO-Dirk accused Floppy Disk for not offering a free Christmas dinner at the party last week but they did as they offer a free pizza dinner for today’s New Year party.

The bus took us back to the mango and enjoyed a free pizza hash dinner in Mango.

Temperature: 6℃ ~15℃

Today Floppy Disk is our hare and after the hash GZHASH would have a Christmas party at his place so we thought he would set a short and easy trail for us as no body like his visitors who are stinky and dirty at his place. But if you think so, that was very wrong indeed because Floppy Disk welcome any visitors. So his trail was not short and easy and it was long and hard instead.

On the trail:

Today’s hash trail was A to B as usual and was presetting on the mountain and many steps, which make us breathing hard and sweating so I asked Meatball on the trail, “Where is the B point?”

“It is on the other side of the mountain so there is no short-cut”

…

So we started the trail at 18 past 3 and finished it at 15 to 6. It costs us nearly 2 hours to finish the whole trail.

On the circle:

Our GM OO-Dirk brought up Meatball to be our RA today:

 Meatball accused the hares for setting view point on the trail but there is no any view. Then the hare told him that was not a view point (VP) and that was UP.

 Hunka accused constipation to look for a young and handsome American to hash in mangobut found a nearly 60s American to the hash today.

 Floppy Disk accused Globewatter for no showing up at Christmas party at his place but convince him to offer his place for hash Christmas party.

 Itchy & Scratchy accused Floppy Disk for offering his place without hesitates for the reason that he didn’t need to clean the place after the party and it is her daughter to clean the place.

 Hunka accused Floppy Disk to extend his place contract for another 2 years in order for our Christmas party at his place as his place’s contract is expired before the party.

 Floppy Disk accused Hunka that he is not worried about offering his place for the party and he is worried Hunka was doing shopping with his daughter.

Temperature: 8℃ ~19℃

Since Fingerlicker was losing the worst hash award in 2011, so he signed up this week’s hare and tried to convince hashers his hash can be the worst in 2012.

Before the trail:

Today’s hash trail was preset and it was A to B hash. As a matter of fact, the distance between the A and B was just 1 meter’s long so it is really short as what the hare told us before the trail but the other trail was setting in the mountain, which is 10k’s long and very difficult.

On the trail:

When the bus was arrived at the hashing site, the bus was accidentally hiding the B point marking under it, so no hasher knows where the B point was at their starting so it caused 7 hashers got lost on the trail. Today the first hasher back to the bus was OO-Dirk and Constipation was the second. So when Anna on the bus saw her father running back to bus, she yielded,

“Daddy, you are the No. 2.”

As today no Ex GM, no Ex RA, no RA on the hash, Our GM OO-Dirk brought up no one to be today’s RA:

 New Comer: no new comers today.

 Our GM OO-Dirk accused Hunka to present his candy to hashers in Mango but 90% of

Chinese hashers did not like his candy.

 Hunka made an announcement for the next week’s Christmas Eve run and asked everyone who joins the hash next week bring their food to the hash.

 OO-dirk made an announcement for Soggy Biscuit’s fxxkoff Hash, on which we will have an away hash on 7th January 2012 and we will go to Conghua and stay overnight there so that we can enjoy the hot spring water there.

Temperature: 7℃ ~15℃

Today was the Annual Black-Tie Dinner Day but the hash was held as usual and it would be ended by 5pm. So the hash trail would be set it short and the hash circle would be shortened after the run.

Before the trail:

Sir Cum Navigator said to OO-Dirk just gave him 3 minutes and Globewatter would be the sweeper hare before he was away.

On the trail:

Today’s trail was A to B. The A point was the campus of Foreign Language University and the B point was Yunxi Park, which we found out after the run. It was not as short as we thought and it was quite a normal trail. Tumble print’s dog Coco was lost for a while on the trail but it was a happy ending and she found it later.

On the circle:

Our GM OO-Dirk accused the hares-Sir Cum Navigator and Globewatter for the finest weather, the finest food and the finest hash today. Then OO-Dirk brought up today’s RA-Meatball and later Meatball brought up his assistant

RA-Who is your daddy:

 New Comer: 1 new comer today.

 Returnee: Who is your daddy etc.

 Hunka Spunk accused Papa San that he was not here 2 weeks ago because Papa San was organizing a children’s outdoor activity but his organizing trail was duplicated our hash trail.

 Meatball accused Tumble print that how disappointed she found her dog.

The circle was ended at 5pm. After the bus took us back to mango, we were home and got dressed up for the annual party.

Today Constipation & Hunka Spunk is the hares again.

Before the trail:

Last Saturday Constipation & Hunka Spunk was probably setting the longest trail in 2011. So this Saturday they were supposed to set a trail as long as last Saturday. And our GM-OO Dirk even told today’s new comers before the trail:

“if you got lost, help yourself! Find a bus or a taxi and ask for taking you back to Mango. Nobody will be going to help you today…”

On the trail:

Today we started to run and walk at 3:20pm. The trail was not as long as we were expected and we finished the trail at 5:10pm. It is short but good exercise trail. Today we did not see Meatball and GPS on the trail and they were probably taking the short cut again.

On the circle:

Our GM OO-Dirk brought up today’s RA-Meatball:

 New Comer: 12 new comers today.

 Returnee: GPS, Filthy Habit, Vanilla Rice etc.

 Meatball accused the hares to bring a good news to hashers that they had made a reservation in the restaurant and bring a bad news to hashers that their reservation was at 8 pm but now it was 6pm and there were 2 hours to go.

 Soggy Biscuit accused Hunka and OO-Dirk to present Platter Pussy’s gift: an orange T-shirt for Hunka but the T-Shirt size is too small for Hunka so it shows Hunka’s beer belly when he is wearing it and a green sweater with a German flag on it for OO-Dirk.

 Filthy Habit accused Soggy Biscuit to bring his colleagues to hash but did not tell them not to wear new shoes.

Temperature: 16℃ ~25℃

Hunka Spunk and Constipation is the hare this week and they are going to set a live trail today.

Before the trail:

There were 54 persons joining the hash today and the bus cannot load all of us so OO-dirk arranged another taxi to take some of us to the hashing site.

The bus arrived at the hashing site at around 3pm as usual. At 3:21pm, we start running and walking after the hares were away in 20 minutes later as OO-dirk said last time he gave the hares 15 minutes and they were caught up so he gave them 20 minutes this time.

On the trail:

When we saw the first “checking” circle, we found out the flour dots were leading us up to the mountain. Meatball, the short-cuter king, thought that was a trick so he and what’s your name again did not follow the runners to go up to the mountain and wait under the mountain until the runners ran back… How smart they are! Today the trail was well-marking but it was a very and very long trail. At around 6:30, we, the walkers, were still walking in the mountain, the sky was dark already and we could not see any flour from the dark. At that moment, we could hear the dogs were barking around in the

mountain… It was a really scare moment until PP & Hanna were showing up later. It is lucky that Hanna brought a torch with her and she had called her father, one of the hares-Constipation and her father told her that it was just 20 minutes walk left.

On the circle:

When we went back to the bus, the circle had been nearly closed. So I cannot write down any details for the circle today except the following that OO-dirk told me:

 How many new Comers today?

 “13”

 Is there any returnee?

 “No!”

 Can you tell me any funny accusation in the circle?

 “It was a boring circle,” this is what OO-dirk told me.

Date: 19th November 2011

Hare：Sunshine, OO-Dirk & Roger

Weather: Sunshine

Temperature: 17℃ ~23℃

OO-Dirk and I are the hares this week so we decided to set the trail on Friday afternoon. But unfortunately it was raining while we were setting the trail on Friday afternoon. As a result, OO-Dirk had to set the trail again today with Roger. Then OO-Dirk & Roger will be the leading hare today and I will be the sweeping hare. The bus arrived at the hashing site at around 3pm. At 3:15pm OO-Dirk and Roger left and let meatball to give them 15 minutes ahead. At 3:30pm, meatball yielded “on on” and then we start to run and walk.

On the trail:

The trail was well marked as we set it twice. The trail was medium long and it takes 3 hours for walker to finish the whole trail. Very good exercise! So it should be the best hash ever.

On the circle:

Before the circle, OO-Dirk got Coco & Emily on ice for their naming today. Then he brought up today’s RA-Meatball.

 New Comers: there were 5 new comers: 1German (Cougar bait’s brother), 1 American, 1 New Zealand & 2 Chinese (1 from Shanghai & 1 Local).

 Returnee: Platter Pussy.

 OO-dirk accused Ramin & Papasan that Ramin had been named as “French Tickler” and Papasan’s daughter had been named as “Angelina blow me”.

 Soggy Biscuit accused OO-Dirk that setting the trail 1 day ahead and take 15 minutes before the run and still being caught up by soggy biscuit.

 Platter Pussy gave Emily’s hash name as “Titty Check” as she doesn’t believe Boxy Pussy’s Titty is real. Soggy Biscuit gave Coco’s hash name as “Coconuts” as her name is same as the

name of Thumber Print’s dog.

After the circle:

At first, OO-Dirk decided to have our hash dinner in Mengtian Village (孟田村). But when we got to the restaurant, the restaurant was full already ever though OO-dirk had made a reservation for

us.

Then we had to decide to come back to town for our hash dinner. On the way back, Constipation received a call from Titty Check and then we found out we had let 3 hashers at the restaurant behind. So our bus had to come back to the restaurant to pick them up. At around 8:30pm, the bus got back to the town at last and we had the hash dinner at a Wunan restaurant near the Paddy field.
